MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international breakthroughs into the Latin pop scene. In the year 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., located in Medellin, a Sony distribution company. This album peaked at eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to make Vaina Loca which was it was a Top Five hit. He released in 2020 his second album charting Dopamina and collaborated on Mala Influencia together with Noriel. In 2021, he performed as a duo TINI on her cult music video Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo's parents and brothers were musicians when Turizo was born. According to Turizo, music was a mandatory component of his childhood. He was taught how to play the saxophone, guitar the keyboard and the ukulele when he was when he was a child. Although his first career choice was to become veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons from the famous Cuban.
